Assistant Director Trent P. Everett,
Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information

Trent P. Everett is a senior executive and federal law enforcement professional with over twenty-four years of experience with the United States Secret Service (Secret Service), focusing equally on both the protective and investigative responsibilities of the agency.
Mr. Everett has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since June 2023, and was appointed as the Assistant Director of the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information in April 2025. In this position, Mr. Everett also serves as the agency's Key Intelligence Official. Mr. Everett interfaces and collaborates with the Department of Homeland Security and the wider Intelligence Community for all aspects of the Secret Service’s intelligence initiatives. Mr. Everett has oversight of all efforts involving the evaluation, and dissemination of operational intelligence and information impacting the Secret Service’s mission. Mr. Everett also has executive oversight for all planning, directing, and coordination of all protective intelligence investigations, threat assessments and mitigation, risk analysis, and behavioral research. Finally, he oversees two operational divisions; the Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division and the Counter Surveillance Division; and one support division, the National Threat Assessment Center. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Everett served as the Deputy Assistant Director in the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information.
In June 2023, Mr. Everett was appointed to his first senior executive position as the Special Agent in Charge of the Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division. In this position, Mr. Everett has direct oversight and is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all efforts involving the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of intelligence information affecting the protective mission of the Secret Service. Mr. Everett ensures that all protective intelligence investigations; the assessment of risk towards Secret Service protected interests, and behavioral research meets the operational requirements of the agency’s protective mission.
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Everett has served in other key leadership positions within the Secret Service to include; Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge, Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division, Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information; Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge, Criminal Investigative Division, Office of Investigations; Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge, Campaign Nominee Operations Section, Office of Protective Operations; Inspector, Inspection Division, Office of Professional Responsibility; Deputy Special Agent in Charge, Security Management Division, Office of Human Resources; Special Agent in Charge, Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information.
Mr. Everett began his career as a Uniformed Division Officer in 2000 where he served on the Emergency Response Team at the White House. In 2004, Mr. Everett began his career as a Special Agent and was assigned to the Boston Field Office investigating financial, electronic, identity theft, and protective intelligence investigations. He subsequently served in the Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division and the Counter Surveillance Division under the Bush and Obama Administrations.
He is a native of the Lehigh Valley Area, Pennsylvania, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Widener University in Chester, PA.
