Jolly made his initial appearance on August 15, 2018, and was detained on August 21, 2018. His trial is set for October 1, 2018. Hamilton will make his initial appearance in federal court on August 28, 2018. An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty. This case was investigated by U.S. Secret Service - Jacksonville Field Office and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin C. Frein.
