Small Business Vendor Outreach
The U.S. Secret Service participates with the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization in monthly small business Vendor Outreach Sessions (VOS). These one-on-one sessions enable the small business specialist to meet with small, 8(a), HUBZone small, small disadvantaged, women-owned small, veteran-owned small and service disabled veteran owned small businesses to discuss their capabilities statement, learn about potential procurement opportunities as well as give advice. Central Contractor Registration (CCR)
The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires contractor registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and the U.S. Secret Service requires current and potential contractors to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract awards and payments.
The System for Award Management (SAM) combines formally independent federal systems into one new system. SAM currently includes the functionality from the following systems:
- Central Contractor Registry (CCR)
- Federal Agency Registration (Fedreg)
- Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA)
- Excluded Parties List System (EPLS)
