INAUGURAL CHICAGO ELECTRONIC CRIMES TASK FORCE MEETING
On May 9, 2002,
the Chicago Field Office hosted the first meeting of the Chicago Electronic Crimes Task Force. Almost 200 representatives
from 95 agencies were in attendance and participated in the 3-hour event held at the Field Office's new state-of-the-art
conference room. Guest speakers included representatives from the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT),
Purdue's Center for the Education and Research in Information Assurance Security (CERIAS), the Financial Crimes Division and the
Electronic Crimes Branch.
The next meeting has been scheduled for September 12, 2002 and will be hosted by one of the new task force members.
